“The Soundtrack of Summer” tour made history on Saturday, July 26th at The Greek Theatre, when rock icons Foreigner, Tommy Shaw and James “JY” Young of Styx, and Don Felder united for a first-time-ever encore performance of Foreigner hit “Hot Blooded.” Fans were brought to their feet for the final song of the evening when Foreigner frontman Kelly Hansen surprised the crowd at the sold-out show, bringing Shaw, Young and Felder back on stage to join founding member Mick Jones to shred one of rock’s most famous hits.

The Foreigner, Styx and Don Felder rock and roll trifecta has been trekking across the U.S. this summer with “The Soundtrack of Summer,” which culminates in August with a slew of sold out shows. The tour’s companion album, “The Soundtrack of Summer” has charted on Billboard’s Top 200 list for multiple weeks throughout the summer, featuring top tracks from both Foreigner and Styx.

The “Soundtrack of Summer” grabbed headlines when a fire in Philadelphia engulfed one of Styx’s tour busses, making national news. Thankfully, no one was injured, and Styx, Foreigner and Rock to The Rescue donated $10,000 to the local Philadelphia Fire Department Local No. 22 Widows Fund in honor of the firefighters who extinguished the blaze.
